The ECUA is happy to announce that is is now affiliated with the USSSA and is accepting applications for its 2010 USSSA Softball (Slow-Pitch) umpire training course and registration.

The ECUA is now accepting applications for its 2010 USSSA Softball recruiting class. Regardless of your umpiring experience, the ECUA training staff is dedicated in providing you with the best training available. No experience is needed and all new softball umpires will begin to work games during the 2010 season. Training is given in the classroom and on the field by a professionally trained staff of USSSA Softball instructors. Classes will begin February 2^nd.

Softball Umpire Training Course
(for NEW Umpires)

All classes are held on weeknight evenings at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Holtsville, NY (Exit 63 LIE). An ECUA representative will contact you to welcome you aboard and to finalize details once your deposit is received.

All 2010 class participants must attend both the classroom and field training sessions to be eligible to work. There will be THOUSANDS of USSSA Affiliated Softball Games provided by the ECUA.

The fee to take our training course and become a member of our Softball Umpire Group is $220.00 per person.

Here is what’s included in your fee.

Training Materials: Package includes a USSSA rulebook, an indicator and plate brush.
Classroom Training: Includes 8 classroom sessions. Class discussion will include the rules of USSA Softball, field mechanics/field responsibilities, plate mechanics/responsibilities and handling situations.
On Field Training: This training will include on field base and plate mechanic/positioning drills. (This training will reinforce instruction learned in the classroom and is in addition to the classroom training)
2010 USSSA Certification: Once you have completed the course, you will be a registered USSSA Umpire and offered all the benefits USSSA offers to its 2010 registered umpires.
2010 ECUA Membership Dues: This includes your eligibility to work games provided thru the ECUA, use of our online assigning system, our 24hr dispatcher and all the other benefits of being a member of the ECUA.

Class dates are 2/2, 2/9, 2/17, 2/24, 3/3, 3/9, 3/16 & 3/23 and run 6:30-10PM.

ALREADY A SLOW-PITCH UMPIRE
BUT NOT USSSA CERTIFIED
(for EXPERIENCED umpires)

The ECUA will be holding a one (1) day seminar for already experienced slow-pitch softball umpires, to become USSSA certified and eligible to work games offered during the 2010 softball season, through the ECUA. There will be THOUSANDS of USSSA Affiliated Softball Games provided by the ECUA. All non- usssa certified slow-pitch softball umpires must attend this seminar in order to become USSSA certified and assigned games through the ECUA.

Our one (1) day seminar is only for EXPERIANCED slow-pitch softball umpires.
